HAPPY ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY E-MAIL MINISTRY!!!
As is the continued tradition, the first E-Mail Ministry message of the month is my chance to talk to all of you about E-Mail Ministry and other related items. So here goes the December edition:
One year ago today (3-Dec) the first E-Mail Ministry message went out to 15 ‘volunteer’ subscribers. 12 months later, through the grace of God, E-Mail Ministry has shattered the 1000 subscriber mark with a total of 1186 subscribers. An increase of 255 from last month. E-Mail Ministry averages a 43% month over month increase in subscribers!
I would also like to thank everyone who sends me a message for use by E-Mail Ministry. Due to the large volume of messages submitted, I cannot thank you individually. But please know that I deeply appreciate all of you and your support of this ministry.
From time to time subscribers send me notes tell me how they use these messages. Some use them in their sermons, others for Sunday School classes and Bible Studies. I would enjoy how you use these messages.

FEED THE HUNGRY FOR FREE
You can help feed hungry people, at no cost to you, by pointing your internet browser to http://www.thehungersite.com Click the Donate Free Food button to bring up a page of corporate sponsors, each of whom contributes 1/2 cent per click, which translates to 1/4 cup of cooked food. The food is distributed through the United Nations World Food Program. The site was launched in June, as of 30-Nov-99 the site had close to 17.2 million donations. In October, the donations amounted to 360 tons of food. Founded by an unnamed “private individual,” the site displays a map that dims one country every 3.6 seconds, signifying a death from hunger. Three quarters of those deaths are children under 5.
A link has been placed on the E-Mail Ministry main page and link page to this site to make it easier for your to click it each day! “When they finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon, son of John, do you truly love me more than these?’. ‘Yes, Lord,’ he said, ‘you know that I love you.’ Jesus said, ‘Feed my lambs.'” – John 21, 15

ONE DAY IN PEACE, JANUARY 1st, 2000
This is a 24 hour concept where no guns are fired anywhere on earth, including on television.
What if: for 24 hours, whosoever was at war in December 1999, agrees that for one whole day, no guns would be fired. The silence would be golden.
What if: the television programmers of the world agreed NOT to air any programming with a violent content?
At present, this ONE DAY IN PEACE concept is beginning to get further circulation. Can you spread this concept so that a possibility might become a reality?
This is a ‘thought-wave campaign’ – that is to say, the more people who grasp this thought, the more it comes into reality.
ONE DAY IN PEACE, JANUARY lst,2000 Pass it on!

MOTHER TERESA
“I’ve heard that God gives us only what we can handle, but sometimes I wish that he wasn’t so confident of me.” — Mother Teresa
Mother Theresa said to a reporter, “Give me 3 pennies and God’s help, and I’ll build a school.” Report replied, “You can’t build a school with 3 pennies.” Mother Theresa said, “Of course not, but with God’s help and 3 pennies I can build a school.”

DEFINITIONS
JUSTICE–When you get what you deserve
MERCY–When you don’t get what you deserve
GRACE–When you get what you don’t deserve

A FRIEND
A friend should be radical;
They should love you when you’re unlovable,
And bear you when you’re unbearable.
A friend should be fanatical;
They should cheer when the whole world boos,
Dance when you get good news,
And cry when you cry too.
But most of all, a friend should be mathematical,
They should multiply the joy, Divide the sorrow,
Subtract the past, And add to tomorrow,
Calculate the need deep in your heart,
And always be bigger than the sum of all their parts.

I LOVED YOU ENOUGH…..
Some day when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a parent, I will tell them:
I loved you enough to ask where you were going, with whom, and what time you would be home.
I loved you enough to insist that you save your money and buy that Playstation or Nintendo for yourself even though we could afford to buy one for you.
I loved you enough to give you guidance and then be silent and let you discover that your new best friend was a creep.
I loved you enough to stand over you for two hours while you cleaned your room, a job that would have taken 15 minutes.
I loved you enough to let you see anger, disappointment and tears in my eyes. Children must learn that their parents and life aren’t perfect.
I loved you enough to let you assume the responsibility for your actions even when the penalties were so harsh they almost broke my heart.
But most of all, I loved you enough to say NO when I knew you would hate me for it. Those were the most difficult battles of all.
I’m glad I won them, because in the end you won, too.
