TODAY’S TERRORIST EVENT
By now, all of you have heard and seen the horrible events which have occurred in New York and Washington DC.
I am beyond words as to what to say. I can’t help but to flash back to my family’s recent visit to Oklahoma City and Oklahoma City National Memorial. In the “Beginning With Him” newsletter just sent out on the 3rd of this month, indicated that “violence can swiftly tear at the fabric of our society”. This act of cowardly terrorism is directed at doing just this, undermining the way of life of free people everywhere, not just in the United States.
I join with all of the people who have called for a prayer – prayer for those directly impacted by the hijacked planes, prayer for the rescuers who are risking their own lives to save others, prayers for our country and its leadership, prayers for the world and the direction it has taken. I also ask that you pray for those who are responsible for this mindless act, pray that they will realize that these acts will do nothing to promote their cause or bring about the agenda they are promoting.
I also beg you, please do not transfer any anger you harbor against the terrorists responsible for this attack against innocent others just because they are the same nationality or religion of the guilty. This will only play into the hands of the guilty and punish the innocent.
May God’s hand hold all those affected by this terrible act.
